MIDNATTSOL Apologizes For METAL FEMALE VOICES FEST Cancellation

October 22, 2008

MIDNATTSOL — the German-Norwegian band featuring vocalist Carmen Elise Espenaes (the younger sister of LEAVES' EYES singer Liv Kristine) — was forced to cancel its appearance at the Metal Female Voices Fest, which was held on October 18-19, 2008 in Wieze, Belgium. The group has issued the following statement on the matter:

"We apologize to all of you who would have liked to see us playing at the Metal Female Voices Fest for the cancelled gig. We ourselves are absolutely sad that we couldn't perform anymore. We will try our best that in the future no higher forces, in this case a complete motorway block, will keep us from doing what we like most: to rock for you on stage! Despite all this, we want to thank all of you, who have been there and had a chat with us, for the great support. You are amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!"

MIDNATTSOL recently announced the addition of guitarist Fabian Pospiech to the group's ranks.

The band's founding guitarist Christian Hector left MIDNATTSOL in May to concentrate on his personal life and his doom metal act AHAB.

MIDNATTSOL's second album, "Nordlys" (translated: Northern Light),was released in March via Napalm Records. The CD was mixed by Tue Madsen and was mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland with Mika Jusilla.

MIDNATTSOL's debut album, "Where Twilight Dwells", was released in 2005 via Napalm Records.
